587. Deputy Billy Timmins asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the position regarding an applicant who fails the fitness test for entry as a recruit; if the person can reapply; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19348/14]
View answerA candidate who fails any stage of the current recruitment process will be eliminated and will not be allowed re-enter this particular competition. They may re-apply to join An Garda Síochána at the next recruitment competition provided that at that time they meet the relevant entry criteria.
