135. Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs if he is satisfied with the manner in which residential care staff sleep-over duty hours and payments are calculated and that this matter has been referred as a formal complaint to the European Commission as breaching the EU Working Time Directive; the action he will take regarding same; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The matters referred to above are currently part of a Labour Relations Commission conciliation process which is ongoing and I am therefore not in a position to comment at this time.
