46. Deputy Mattie McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Skills if his attention has been drawn to the new pyrite scandal affecting a newly built school in Balbriggan, County Dublin, that may have to be demolished; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24911/14]
View answerA query has arisen with regard to the certification of some materials used in building works in a school currently under construction in the North Dublin area. The Department is awaiting a detailed report from the contractor on the matter. On receipt of the contractor's report the Department and its Design Team will then determine what next steps are required.
