Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Social Protection the total amount of capital spending on construction projects carried out by her Department and by bodies operating under the responsibility of her Department between 2008 and to date in 2014; if she will provide the information on an annual basis in tabular form; and if she will make a statement on the matter. View answerSince 2009, the Department of Social Protection has been provided with a capital allocation for new accommodation, including the refurbishment and fit-out of buildings. Prior to then the funding was made available direct to the Office of Public Works. The annual amounts of capital spending on construction projects between 2008 and 2014 are shown in the following table:
