687. Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport his views on a matter (details supplied) regarding parking restrictions; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27021/14]
View answerAs Minister I have responsibility for determining the laws generally as they relate to parking on public roads. As part of the legislation, it is a matter for each local authority to decide the appropriate controls to apply to parking within their own areas of responsibility, including the location of signage. The matter is one for the Local Authority and I have no function therein.
