661. Deputy Andrew Doyle asked the Minister for Justice and Equality if she will outline Ireland's operational arrangements as chairman of the Europol management board; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [29892/14]
View answerI am advised that during the last Trio of Presidencies of the Council of the EU (Lithuania, Ireland and Greece), Ireland chaired all meetings of the Management Board (MB) of Europol. In this regard, an Assistant Commissioner of An Garda Síochána chaired MB meetings during the three Presidencies in question. This arrangement terminated at the end of the Greek Presidency on 30 June 2014.
