82. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Education and Skills if he will provide a list of all persons appointed by him to a State board in 2014 to date in tabular form; the name of the person and board in question; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30590/14]
View answerThe information requested on the appointments made to State Boards in 2014 is outlined in the following table. In 2014 appointments were made to the following boards: Grangegorman Development Agency (GDA); Higher Education Authority (HEA); Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI); Residential Institutions Redress Board (RIRB); Residential Institutions Review Committee (RIRC); and Residential Institutions Statutory Fund (RISF). The Deputy should note that Board appointments, while made by me as Minister, are not in all cases made at my sole discretion. Individuals may be nominated for appointment by various organisations as specified in the relevant statute of the body concerned. Membership of Boards and appointment dates can be downloaded from my Department's website, www.education.ie. This information is updated when any relevant changes occur.
