Deputy Seamus Kirk asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection if she will provide a breakdown by month since March 2011 of the number of persons who are on the live register in County Louth; including the number of persons who are short-term and long-term unemployed; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The information requested by the Deputy in respect of the number of persons who are short term and long term unemployed since March 2011 is not routinely collated by my Department. The Central Statistics Office publishes a monthly breakdown of the number of persons who are on the live register in each county. I have for the Deputy’s convenience detailed the live register in County Louth each month since March 2011 in the tabular statement.
