Deputy Thomas Pringle asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht if she will provide details of the recent inspection by officials from the National Parks and Wildlife Service to Inis Bó Finne Island off County Donegal to monitor corncrake numbers; the rank of the relevant officers involved; the nature of the information recorded; an itemised list of all lands entered during the course of the study; the relevant directives from statutory law, permitting the right of entry onto private lands for survey purposes, without prior consultation and consent of farmers or landowners; if any further visits are planned; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
