Deputy Sean Fleming asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government to detail the number of staff who retired, left or otherwise departed from the Department's employment from 1 July 2013 to 31 December 2013, and the expected annual savings arising therefrom; the number of staff expected to leave in 2014, and the annual expected savings therefrom; the number of staff expected to leave in 2015, and the annual savings therefrom; the number of staff expected to leave in 2016, and the annual savings therefrom; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The information in the tables reflect departures and starters in my Department, including those expected in the future that are known at this stage, due to retirements, transfers, secondments, career breaks, ministerial staff and a limited number of new staff recruited in line with sanction received from the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform. Estimated savings and costs are based on full annual costs including salary, employers PRSI and allowances.
