Deputy Jerry Buttimer asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport regarding personalised leap cards and student travel cards, if he will consider amending the cards so that they display a person's date of birth and can thereby be used as a form of age identification; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerAs Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport. Responsibility to develop, procure, implement, operate and maintain the Leap Card system is a function of the National Transport Authority (NTA).
