268. Deputy Stephen S. Donnelly asked the Minister for Finance further to the submission for approval in April 2014 to the European Commission of the acquisitions of approximately €47 billion of par value loan acquisitions by the National Asset Management Agency, if he will provide an update on that approval; if the Commission has communicated any issues or problems to NAMA; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerOn July 29, 2014 the European Commission published its decision for case SA.38562 regarding the transfer of tranches 3 - 9 of assets to NAMA. As was the case in previous transfers of assets to NAMA, the European Commission raised no objection to the transfer.
