388. Deputy Dara Calleary asked the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation the current industry specific investigations that are under way by the National Consumer Agency; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [33503/14]
View answerSection 7(3) of the Consumer Protection Act 2007 provides that the National Consumer Agency shall be independent in the performance of its functions. The issue raised by the Deputy relates to the day to day functions of the National Consumer Agency in which I, as Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, have no direct function.
