101. Deputy Paul J. Connaughton asked the Minister for Health the progress that has been made on extending the free national breast cancer screening programme, BreastCheck, to women aged 65 to 69 years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [36546/14]
View answerAs indicated in previous replies, I fully support the proposed extension of the Breastcheck screening programme to the 65-69 year age cohort. The timing of the implementation of this extension of the service will depend on the availability of resources and is being considered in the context of the Estimates process for 2015.
