Deputy Timmy Dooley asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he will consider making all bus lanes in our cities operational 24 hours, seven days a week; the further capital investment that will be made in bus lanes this year; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerAs Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport. Responsibility regarding the development of bus lanes is a function of the National Transport Authority (NTA).
Noting this I have referred the Deputy's question to the NTA for direct reply. He should please advise my private office if he does not receive a reply within 10 working days.
