Question:

156. Deputy Gerry Adams asked the Minister for Education and Skills if her attention has been drawn to the case of a child (details supplied) in County Louth; if her attention has been further drawn to the fact that this child's parents had paid for and were approved for a concessionary bus ticket on 15 July 2014 and that Bus Éireann issued a full ticket on 11 September 2014; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Bus Éireann which operates the School Transport Scheme on behalf of my Department has advised that the child in question is now availing of a service on a concessionary basis.

Bus Éireann has confirmed that while a temporary service was in place initially, the service now being availed of by the child in question is operating to the same pick up point and time as last year.
