View answerThere is no delay in setting the date for the marriage equality referendum. As the Deputy is aware, the Government decided, in November 2013, that a referendum should be held in the first half of 2015 on the issue of marriage equality. Preparatory work is under way in this regard. The Government will decide and announce a date for the referendum in due course.
