122. Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the position regarding his Department having responsibility to carry out compensatory provisions for holders of aquaculture licenses (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [39732/14]

The “Appropriate Assessment” in respect of Lough Swilly referred to by the Deputy is under ongoing examination by my Department in accordance with applicable legislation. No decisions in respect of the licensing issues that arise from the “Appropriate Assessment” have been made as yet.
