1115. Deputy Thomas P. Broughan asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the status of the maximum fares review being carried out by the National Transport Authority; if he anticipates that this will result in a change to fare levels; and if it is expected that there will be a change in the fees imposed for recalibrating taxi meters. The regulation of the small public service vehicle (SPSV) industry is a matter for the National Transport Authority (NTA) under the provisions of the Taxi Regulation Act 2013, including the fixing of the maximum fares that may be charged.
