Deputy Michael McCarthy asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection the number of quangos set up since 2011 in her Department; the number of members of same; the cost and expense incurred to date including details of the briefs that they cover; and if she will make a statement on the matter. View answerThe statutory bodies operating under the aegis of the Department of Social Protection are the Citizens Information Board, the Pensions Authority, the Pensions Ombudsman and the Social Welfare Tribunal.
No new statutory or other bodies have been established under the aegis of the Department of Social Protection since 2011. The Pensions Board was renamed the Pensions Authority on 7 March 2014.
