Deputy Brendan Smith asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the reason there is no provision in his Department's Estimates for the beef technology adoption programme for 2015; if this means that farmers under the programme will receive no BTAP payment in 2015; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine

The Beef Technology Adoption Programme commenced as a three year programme in 2012 and therefore concludes at the end of 2014. I expect that all payments due to farmers under this programme in respect of this calendar year will be paid by the end of 2014.
