568. Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs the number of children who have been adopted into Ireland from countries not signed up to the Hague Adoption Convention since the Adoption Act was enacted in 2010; the countries from which such adoptions took place; and the number of such adoptions per each of these countries that took place. The Adoption Authority of Ireland advises that a total of 320 intercountry adoptions from non-Hague countries have been registered by the Authority since the enactment of the Adoption Act, 2010 in November 2010. The breakdown of adoptions by country is as follows: Ethiopia - 110, Russia - 201, Taiwan - 8 and Ukraine - 1.
