Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Health his plans to amend section 40 of the Nurses and Midwives Act which ties the need for indemnity insurance directly to an unreliable service level agreement with the Health Service Executive; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I wish to thank the Deputy for raising the issue, and inform her that there are currently no plans to amend section 40 of the Nurses and Midwives Act, 2011.
