Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the circumstances in which the chairman of the Public Appointments Service stepped down from that position on 31 August 2014, four months before his term expired; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The term of the previous Chairman of the Public Appointments Service expired on 31st August 2014, and he stepped down on that date, having served two three-year terms.
