123. Deputy Billy Kelleher asked the Minister for Justice and Equality in view of the immense benefit assistance dogs provide to children with autism, if she will provide funding in order that families do not have to fundraise almost €5,000 themselves to get an assistance dog for their children. My Department has no role in funding of services for people with disabilities, which is a matter for the Department of Health and the Health Services Executive. My Department's role is to coordinate policy on a cross-Departmental basis on disability policy issues.
