195. Deputy Áine Collins asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if the Office of Public Works is currently recruiting staff; and if it recruited persons in 2013. [43756/14]

The Office of Public Works, through the Public Appointments Service, is currently recruiting for the post of Head of Technology Solutions. The total number of permanent staff recruited in 2013 was 11, 7 on the Established staff and 4 State Industrial Employees. In addition, 396 seasonal staff, were recruited to augment the existing guide service at Heritage sites for the tourist season and to supplement staffing in the arterial drainage maintenance area.
