117. Deputy Sandra McLellan asked the Minister for Education and Skills if she will ensure funding is provided for a primary school (details supplied) in County Cork to carry out essential works in the playground area which in its present state is a health hazard where a number of accidents have taken place; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department's planning and building unit has no record of receiving an application under the emergency works scheme from the school referred to by the Deputy for works to the playground. Should an application be received, it will be assessed and the school authorities will be notified of the outcome.
