View answerSt Francis of Assisi NS was deemed to not have a sufficient concentration of disadvantage among its pupils to warrant its inclusion in DEIS. Assessment of schools for inclusion in DEIS was undertaken as an independent process on behalf of the Department by the Educational Research Centre.
My key priority at present is to continue to target resources in schools with the most concentrated levels of disadvantage and given the current economic climate there is no capacity to provide for the inclusion of additional schools in DEIS at this time.
