Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for Education and Skills further to Parliamentary Question No. 886 of 4 November 2014, if she will provide an update on the State Claims Agency's review of day school abuse cases; when she will be announcing the Government's response to these cases; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department is finalising its consideration of the review of day school abuse cases undertaken by the State Claims Agency, in consultation with the Office of the Attorney General and the State Claims Agency. I expect that following the Government's consideration of the matter, its response will be announced before Christmas.
