Deputy Brendan Smith asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection if she will provide in tabular form the number of EU directives which remain to be implemented within her Department; the name of these directives; the timeframe for the implementation of these directives; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Department is, at present, responsible for the transposition of one EU Directive as outlined below. While Ireland is already substantially compliant with the minimum requirements provided for in this Directive, the Department will amend any law, regulation or administrative provision required should it be necessary to give it full effect.
