Deputy Sandra McLellan asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht if she will provide this Government's detailed plan for a national strategy for the for the areas within the remit of the Department of Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht; and the funding that has been allocated for its implementation. View answerI am committed to the delivery of the country's first ever national cultural policy - Culture 2025- and will be initiating a wide-scale consultation process to ensure that all stakeholders and members of the public can make their views known. With this in mind, a draft discussion paper is currently being finalised, which I hope to publish shortly.
As the purpose is to set out the high-level aims and policies in the area of culture for the period up to 2025, the issue of funding does not arise.
