333. Deputy Pádraig Mac Lochlainn asked the Minister for Justice and Equality if she will provide, in tabular form, the number of gardaí in the force for each year from 2007 to 2015 to date; the number of gardaí in the Dublin metropolitan area in the same period; the number of recruits graduating from Templemore in the same period; and the number of gardaí expected to graduate from Templemore during the remainder of 2015. As the Deputy will appreciate, the Garda Commissioner is responsible for the distribution of personnel, among the Garda Regions, Divisions, and Districts. Garda management keep this distribution under continuing review in the context of crime trends and policing priorities so as to ensure that the best possible use is made of these resources.
