Deputy James Bannon asked the Minister for Health if he will provide a commitment that the accident and emergency services at the Midland Regional Hospital, County Westmeath, will not be downgraded during the construction of the new accident and emergency department, but will be enhanced when the new €6 million department is fully operational; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
