563. Deputy Michael Colreavy asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government if he will provide a breakdown of the sources of CO2 emissions here. [5710/15]
View answerIn Ireland, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) prepares inventories of greenhouse gas emissions, which are compilations of historical greenhouse gas emissions from sources such as transport, power generation, industry and agriculture. The most recent year for which provisional data are available is 2013. In that year, total national greenhouse gas emissions were estimated to be 57.81 Mt CO2-eq. (million tonnes carbon dioxide equivalent). A percentage disaggregation of that total figure by source is set out in the table below:
