Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Taoiseach if the 2,635 jobseekers who have commenced on a Momentum programme in 2014 are included in the Central Statistics Office's live register activation programme figures; the scheme under which they are classified; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The number of people availing of a range of programmes targeted primarily at the long-term unemployed (over 12 months) and other welfare recipients (including Lone Parents) is provided for December 2013 and 2014 in the following table. Participants in the Momentum scheme are included in the figures under the Back to Education Allowance (BTEA). Persons on activation programmes are not counted as part of the monthly Live Register.
