25. Deputy Paul Murphy asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the policies and procedures that exist for the arrest of minors, in particular the measures taken to ensure the use of force is proportionate, the questioning and length of detention is age-appropriate, and their education routine is not disrupted. I wish to inform the Deputy that policies and procedures that exist for the arrest of minors are set out in Part 6, sections 55-70 of the Children Act, 2001.
