430. Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin asked the Minister for Health the position regarding the number of general practitioners in practice in each of the counties - Cavan, Monaghan, Louth and Meath; the number of these, by county, that are locum appointments; the number of posts, by county, that are unfilled entirely; the steps being taken to secure permanent appointments; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As this is a service matter and the information requested by the Deputy is not readily available to my Department, I have referred the Deputy's query to the HSE for direct reply.
