571. Deputy Michael Creed asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government when he will issue a call for projects under the capital assistance programme from local authorities; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7790/15]
View answerUnder the Capital Assistance Scheme, a ‘Call for Proposals’ was issued in 2014 covering the period 2014- 2016. Projects submitted under this ‘Call’ are currently progressing through the various stages of design and development. However, given the ambition set out in the Social Housing Strategy 2020, I propose to issue a further ‘Call for Proposals’ under the Capital Assistance Scheme shortly and I look forward to a strong response from local authorities and approved housing bodies.
