Ruth Coppinger

Question:

623. Deputy Ruth Coppinger asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the number of cases of driving licence fraud that the National Driver Licence Service has identified since October 2013; if any cases were identified, due to the requirement of drivers to visit the offices of the service, prior to issuing a licence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The operation of the National Driver Licensing Service is the statutory responsibility of the Road Safety Authority. I have therefore referred the question to the Authority for direct reply. I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response has not been received within ten days.
