Deputy Michael Creed asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection the number of persons in receipt of the one-parent family payment; the number of these in receipt of a court-mandated maintenance payment or other such payment formally recognised by her Department; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I am informed that there were 69,397 persons in receipt of one-parent family payment (OFP) at the end of February. However, the information requested by the Deputy in relation to the number of recipients of OFP in receipt of a court mandated maintenance payment or another such payment is not available.
