Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Justice and Equality if she will provide for each Circuit Court in the country the number of ejectment civil cases that came before it and the ejectment civil orders granted by the court separately in 2013, 2014 and to date in 2015; if she will provide a breakdown of the aggregate data by financial institution taking the case; and if she will make a statement on the matter. View answerThe Deputy will be aware that, under the provisions of the Courts Service Act 1998, management of the courts is the responsibility of the Courts Service and I have no role in the matter. Section 4(3) of the 1998 Act provides that the Courts Service is independent in the performance of its functions, which includes the provision of information on the courts system.
However, I have asked the Courts Service for the information in the detailed format sought by the Deputy and I will write to him directly as soon as it is to hand.
