Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Justice and Equality if An Garda Síochána carried out an inspection of two military aircraft belonging to the United States of America at Shannon Airport on 11 March 2015, namely a United States of America Navy Lockheed C-130T Hercules, number BD5379, and a United States of America Marines KC-130J super Hercules, as they had been requested to do by a member of the public who had serious concerns about international law being breached; and if she is satisfied with this response. An Garda Síochána did not carry out an inspection of two US Military aircraft at Shannon Airport on 11 March 2015. They have no role in relation to the inspection of foreign State or military aircraft to which, in accordance with international law, sovereign immunity attaches.
