Questions (707)

John Halligan

Question:

707. Deputy John Halligan asked the Minister for Health if his Department is seeking to fill posts within the pain clinic in University Hospital Waterford; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there is only one half pain post in the hospital, and the standard practice is to prioritise inpatients who are seen first, and that this is causing extended waiting lists for treatment (details supplied); his plans to address the shortfall in the complement of pain consultant positions; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
