Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade the implications for serving and retired public servants under the aegis of his Department of the single euro payments area payments clearing and settlement system being closed on 1 May 2015; if arrangements are being made to ensure that persons receive their entitlements on the due date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has planned for this event and has made arrangements to ensure that salary payments normally due on 1 May 2015 will be paid on 30 April 2015.
