591. Deputy Joe Carey asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he is aware of the studies (details supplied) with respect to hydration while driving; his plans to deal with this issue; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17276/15]
View answerI am aware that the University of Loughborough has undertaken a study on the impact of dehydration on safe driving. Studies such as this are useful in the overall context of road safety and the findings of these studies will be kept under review in the development of road safety policy.
