478. Deputy Finian McGrath asked the Minister for Health his views on correspondence (details supplied) regarding the rights of persons with visual impairment to have access to pedestrian pavements; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18489/15]

Access to pavements and improving access for people with disabilities through promoting an accessible barrier-free pedestrian environment is a matter for the local authority which comes under the remit of the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government.
