542. Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for Education and Skills when work on developing the five-year digital strategy for schools commenced; when the strategy will be published; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [18519/15]
View answerWork commenced in July 2013 on the development of a new Digital Strategy for Schools. A comprehensive consultation process was undertaken so that all views were heard. The five year strategy will address the key issues identified in the consultation including teaching, learning and assessment using ICT, Teacher professional learning, leadership and ICT Infrastructure.
Work is currently being finalised on the strategy and will be published shortly thereafter.
