627. Deputy Fergus O'Dowd asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if a refund will be provided to a person (details supplied) in County Louth, who has been charged for non-attendance at a driver theory test, which non-attendance was due to a misunderstanding regarding the date of the test; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The driver theory testing service is provided on behalf of the Road Safety Authority by an independent provider, and I have no role in it.  I have therefore referred the question to the Authority for direct reply.  I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response has not been received within ten days.
