416. Deputy Seán Ó Fearghaíl asked the Minister for Education and Skills if she will provide funding for the replacement of windows in a school building (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [19292/15]
View answerThe management authority of the school referred to by the Deputy submitted an application for funding under my Department's Emergency Works Scheme to replace windows at their school.
As replacement of windows is outside the terms of the scheme it cannot be considered for funding. The school authority has been requested to submit a revised application to address immediate health and safety issues only. As soon as this application is received it will be assessed and the school authority notified of the outcome.
