Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Health the cost to the Health Service Executive and his Department in defending cases in the Employment Appeals Tribunal for each of the past five years; the firms that are employed by the executive and his Department in such cases; if this work is tendered for and the way it is tendered for. I can confirm that my Department has not defended any cases in the Employment Appeals Tribunal in the past five years.

I have asked the HSE to respond to the Deputy directly on the matter. If you have not received a reply from the HSE within 15 working days, please contact my Private Office and they will follow up the matter with them.
